510 PRIDE is a 14U through 18U collaborative effort among local leagues - currently Alameda Girls Softball Association, Oakland Girls Softball League and Piedmont Baseball - Softball Foundation - along with the program development vision of co-founder Meagan Dixon and program consultant Jazmyn Jackson. The purpose is to meet the challenges of the 14U and older divisions by combining resources, which creates a level of participation that ensures players from each of the leagues will have a pathway to 14U and older softball more locally. In addition, by having greater numbers we strive to offer multiple levels of play and more opportunity for high school players who may not have had an opportunity to play after their high school season ends.

continuously increase player's; skill as they move through levels of play. To focus on the full athlete: skill,
athleticism, strength and conditioning, mental training, sportsmanship and leadership. The program is
committed to help grow the sport of softball by allowing more opportunities for girls to play competitive
fastpitch softball - ultimately the sport wins by having more lifelong fans and ambassadors of the game.
As a community we believe a family’s experience is just as important to the organization as your
daughter’s experience. We take PRIDE in ourselves, our organization, and the sport we all love. Have
Pride in what you represent. Have Pride in what represents you.
Understand the purpose of being on the field and who you want to be. We are here to be the
best at the game, be the best teammates, the best daughters, the best parents, the best coaches.
Understand your purpose and have intent when you are on the field or wearing Pride on your chest.
Respect the game, practice, your time, other people’s time, equipment, coaches, teammates,
other teams, umpires and parents. Simple as that. No tolerance for disrespect.
Always be a student of the game. Softball is never mastered. The best players in all of softball are
still learning something new everyday, whether it be about the strategy of the game, their own skills, or
different ways to improve. To be the best, you need to know the game inside and out. Skill and talent
can only take you so far, softball

Setting the standard and abiding by it. Doing a specific, focused thing every time requires an
incredible amount of discipline. Not only does the player reap the benefit of discipline in the game
regarding their at bats, fielding, etc., but this discipline will translate to their work ethic in practice, in
school, at home, and one day in the workplace.
